The German market, with its centre in Dusseldorf, is arguably the largest and most important in Europe, with more cases litigated here than anywhere else in the region. Different tribunals handle nullity and infringement proceedings, with patent agents conducting the majority of the former and attorneys at law exclusively leading the latter. Consequently, we have divided the section on Germany to reflect these largely discrete groups of parctitioners.
