Gorodissky & Partners, the premier IP firm in Russia, was founded by patent attorneys and lawyers who began their professional careers in 1959. The founding partner of the firm was Mikhail L Gorodissky.

The firm has branch offices in St Petersburg, N Novgorod, Krasnodar, Samara, Ekaterinburg, Kazan, Perm (all in Russia) and Kiev (Ukraine).

Over 370 employees, including 120 patent/trademark attorneys and lawyers and 22 Eurasian patent attorneys, work for the firm. They provide clients and associates with professional and cost-effective legal services relating to all IP matters, including inventions, trademarks, designs, utility models, copyright, computer programs, domain names, litigation, licensing and IP valuation.

The firm has extensive national and worldwide experience in IP issues, including those arising in the post-Soviet territory (the Commonwealth of Independent States countries and Baltic states). We are responsible for around half of the foreign patent applications and one-third of the trademark applications filed in Russia every year.

Many of the firm’s lawyers and patent/trademark attorneys have advanced technical and legal degrees and speak a variety of foreign languages. They regularly attend IP courses and work with law firms in the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, France and other countries.
