Christine Kanz

Christine Kanz, an attorney since 1998, has been a partner with ROKH since 1st January 2006. She advises German and international clients on all IP matters, especially patent law. In addition to patent litigation, including multi-jurisdictional litigation, her further main focus is the drafting of licence agreements, cooperation agreements, research and development agreements and similar, especially for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. She concentrates in particular on the areas of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, chemistry and medical devices, and has taken part in numerous pharmaceutical cases that received public attention.

She began specialising in IP law during her legal internship in 1996. After a visitor's stay at the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property, Competition and Tax Law in Munich, she received her PhD in 2002 from the University of Dusseldorf.

Dr Kanz publishes regularly on patent law issues and frequently speaks at conferences on patent law issues.
