From 2nd to 4th December the IP Media Group will be holding the first IP Business Congress designed specifically for a Chinese audience. The conference will be presented in both Mandarin and English, and will take place in Beijing at the JW Marriott Hotel.
While there are already many IP events in China that deal with domestic and international legal issues, up to now there have been none that deliver the unique focus which has established the IP Business Congress as the world's leading conference exploring how rights owners can strategically use IP to create internal and external value. As a result, IPBC China will be a breakthrough event - and one that is bound to attract the interest of senior players in many of China's most important IP-owning organisaitons, as well as high-level government officials and locally-based intermediaries.
With a focus on the theme of IP equals money, IPBC China will explore cutting-edge themes in IP value creation - ranging from how to build an effective in-house IP function, through the various ways in which IP can be monetised, to the growth of IP-based investment opportunities.
IPBC China’s speaking faculty will comprise thought-leaders from domestic and international companies, as well as investors, aggregators and other intermediaries. Their brief will be to provide Chinese IP owners with best practice advice on how they can use their rights to drive bottom line returns, increase shareholder value, secure greater operational flexibility and access the financial markets; as well as to outline the opportunities, challenges and pitfalls they face when they take their IP abroad.
Morning plenary sessions and afternoon breakouts will explore the kinds of themes that have established the IP Business Congress as the world’s pre-eminent event about the business of intellectual property. For Chinese companies, as well as those seeking to do business with them, this will be a unique opportunity to discuss and debate how IP can be placed at the heart of corporate decision-making, and the many benefits that doing so can bring.
We look forward to seeing you in Beijing in December.
