The sun is shining in Portugal, the sky is blue and the sea is bluer still. We are now all in Cascais and waiting for the IP Business Congress 2012 to get underway this afternoon. Well over 500 delegates have made it to this year’s event, which makes it the biggest IPBC we have ever held. Those of you who will not be with us can see what you are missing by reading the final programme. Those of you that are here, remember to be at the Hotel Miragem for 6.00 pm – that’s when the opening reception gets underway. It’s by the swimming pool.
We’ll be Tweeting regularly from the conference using the tag #IPBC12. Hopefully, we’ll also be sending out a few photographs via Flickr. And, of course, there’ll be a blog or two. Tomorrow evening we have the IP Hall of Fame Gala Dinner. A special treat for everyone coming to that will be a performance from Carminho, one of the world’s leading singers of Fado, the soulful, lyrical music that is the very essence of Portugal. This is her in action.
