Yes, it's 26th April and once again a grateful world celebrates intellectual property. Or, perhaps more accurately, the IP world celebrates intellectual property. I have not looked at everything that's going on, but much of what I have seen sems to be based around a lot of IP people saying how great IP is in exactly the same way they say it every other day of the year. Or am I being very cynical and rather unfair?
Well, you can make up your own minds. The WIPO website has a list of activities going on in various parts of the world. If this really is a chance to communicate the IP message to a wider public, I am not sure it is being grabbed with both hands if I am being honest. The one in the UK is potentially interesting, but the number of firms that seem to be taking part is not exactly overwhelming!
