As the rain keeps on falling and water levels keep on rising in the English midlands, it's time for the IAM blog to take a seasonal break and for me to pile up the sand bags outside our front door. It really has been a wet old year in the UK.
If we don't get flooded (and it looks like we are going to get away with it, thankfully), the next week or so will be all about spending time with the family, watching films, reading books, being annoyed about Spurs getting beaten in the Christmas fixtures, eating and drinking too much, thinking about doing some exercise but not getting round to it and generally relaxing. Work and IP will, I am afraid, not get much of a look in. And I hope that the same thing applies to all those who read this blog. Seriously, take a break: all work and no play is no good to anyone!
It's been a great year for us on here, with a bucket full of new readers and plenty of interesting stories to write about. Thank-you so much to everyone for their support and encouragement. Here's wishing you the very best for this festive season. However you mark it (and even if you don't), may it bring you peace, happiness and precious times with the ones you love.
We'll be back on 2nd January, when we will be revealing IAM's IP personalities of 2012.
Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year! See you in 2013.
