WIPO has put together an excellent resource that details the ways in which different IP rights have been used by businesses all over the globe to create value and underpin growth.

IP Advantage focuses on a variety of companies in both the developed and developing world, operating across a wide rane of industries. What I really like about it is that it details how individual companies have used packages of rights - not just patents, or trademarks, or designs, or whatever on their own. This helps to get across a very important message: a successful strategy is one that involves thinking about IP in the round rather than as a series of single assets. If you have a few minutes spare spend some time having a look at a few of the case studies; they are well worth reading and could prove handy for spreading the IP word.
